TURKEY BOMBS low fat, high protein healthy appetizer
Yum
Simple and quick turkey bombs. Makes an excellent appetizer for parties. They are crisp outside and juicy moist inside. Here i used 93% lean ground turkey to make this recipe a low fat. This recipe does not call for lots of oil or deep frying as in case of most appetizers but still it tastes like a deep fried turkey bombs.
Ground turkey - 1/2 pound
ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
chili powder - 1 teaspoon
garam masala - 1 teaspoon
cumin powder - half teaspoon
pepper powder - half teaspoon
cilantro/coriander leaves - few finely chopped
salt - half teaspoon
for seasoning
cumin seeds - half teaspoon
ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
oil - 2 teaspoon
In a bowl, add the ground turkey, then add all the above listed spices, combine well using fork or hand, once done. Make small roundels like a small ball size, do not make it too big as it takes time to cook inside. Keep the turkey bombs aside. Now heat a pot with oil, once hot add the cumin seeds, then a teaspoon of ginger garlic paste, fry on low flame for few seconds. Now add the turkey bombs. Cover the pot with lid and allow it to cook on medium flame for 20 mins. Mixing it occasionally. The turkey will begin oozing some water, later it will cook on its own juices, once the water completely evaporates, saute with a spoon slowly, until you get the bombs fried in brown color on all sides. This will take about 15 mins. They are so delicious, great as starters or side dish.
