HEALTHY TURMERIC TURKEY PATTIES with nutritional facts

It is a simple and quick recipe, can be prepared in no time. Having a toddler who is a picky eater, i develop recipes that encourages her to eat. Turkey is a flavorful meat with high protein content, good for kids and body builders. My little one loves these patties and im sure yours too.




ground turkey - 1 pound(1/2 kg)
ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
turmeric - 1 teaspoon
cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
salt - 1 teaspoon

PREP TIME : 5 MINS                 COOK TIME : 15 MINS            YEILDS : 12 patties  






I took about a pound of ground turkey. This is 90% lean variety, however if it is for kids i recommend using the 70% or 80% lean, because fat is essential for kids growth and development. Begin by adding salt, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, pepper powder to the ground turkey, combine well. Take a small ball like portion and shape patties. Heat a skillet and coat with oil or cooking spray, place the patties and shallow fry them by fliping both sides for about 15 mins. Serve with a dip or just like that. These turkey patties can be frozen in batches and can be given as a finger foods for kids. The turmeric added to the turkey acts as an antibiotic and improves immune system. These patties can be used to prepare burgers. Try these and enjoy with your family and friends.

TIPS
when making patties for burgers, add one egg, a teaspoon of red chili to the ground meat and coat with bread crumbs and fry.
