Bombay Green Chutney Sandwich is popular in the streets of India. There are many variations. This is one of the healthiest sandwiches that you could find in the streets, often made as breakfast recipe at home. Here i will be sharing the best and easiest five variations of this chutney sandwich's.



Something need to know before making this sandwich, the chutney has so many health benefits from the regular sauce r mayonnaise that you normally use in making sandwiches.

Use any bread of your choice, here i am using 100% whole wheat bread for more healthier options, normally it is made with white bread.




1. Potato Sandwich

Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker to make it quick, peel the skin and mash them using fork, add spices such as red chili powder cumin powder, salt, coriander leaves. The spice level is as per your preference. For two boiled potatoes, i added about

Makes - 2 sandwiches
red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
cumin seeds/powder  - 1/2 teaspoon
chaat masala( optional) - 1/4 teaspoon
coriander leaves- 1 tablespoon
salt a pinch

Apply the chutney on one side f the bread, stuff the potato mixture, apply chutney on one side of the other bread. Apply butter on the top of the bread for grilling. Place them on a sandwich maker or grill, cook until its outside turns brown. Serve hot with some ketchup or any sauce.


2. Grilled Cheese Sandwich

The preparation is similar to the above sandwich recipe, but instead of the potato stuffing, you can add some cheese and grill them the similar way as shown in the video


3. Cucumber Sandwich

This sandwich variation does not require cooking, it is super quick. Just apply the chutney on the bread and some sliced cucumbers on it close with other bread coated with chutney and that's it, really simple and quick! breakfast ready to go!

4. Grilled Cheese Corn Sandwich


For this you will need about two spoonful of cooked or grilled corn for making one sandwich and a two spoonful of cheese. Grill using a sandwich grill until the cheese melts or can also be done stove top as shown in the video.

5. Egg Cheese Sandwich


A classic sandwich for non vegetarians and there can be made in Indian style by using egg masala, if you don't prefer spicy breakfast. Juts add a two beaten eggs and cheese, grill them as shown in the video.
