INSTANT AND HEALTHY BANANA CAKE POPS

Yum

Banana cake pops are instant and quick with very few ingredients, can be easily thrown as a desert in kids lunch box. If you have a cake pops mold, it is easier to pop it into the oven. I have a stove top mold, it is so quick and I don't need to wait for the oven to be preheated. The mold i used is an indian paniyaram maker which looks similar to that of a cake pops mold. Here is a quick look of the ingredients.

egg - 1
Butter - 1 tablespoon
Banana - 1
brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
honey - 1 tablespoon
milk - 3 tablespoon
vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
plain flour - 1 1/2 cup
baking powder - 1 teaspoon
powdered sugar as needed

  • In a bowl, beat an egg, then add the butter and brown sugar beat well. To this add the mashed banana, then add in the honey, the vanilla essence and milk, mix well.
  • Now sift the plain flour along with the baking powder. Just fold in and bring to that of a thick cake batter consistency.
  • Let it rest for about half an hour. The key to resting is to make soft and fluffy cake pops. Now grease the mold with butter, If using oven in a preheated oven at 350F for 15 to 20 mins. depending on the size of the mold.
  • If using a stove top paniyaram mold or cake pops mold, place it on the stove on medium heat, grease with oil or butter, pour the batter half way, once cooked and browned on side, flip using a fork and let it brown the side.
  • Once it cools down, sprinkle with powdered sugar and throw in your kids lunchboxes. These cake pops are so simple, low sugar yet satisfies that sweet tooth.
